What your cat's tail, ears, eyes, and posture are telling you, from the friendly tail-up greeting to the warning signs that mean give them space.

Cat life stages: kitten to senior

The four feline life stages used by veterinary guidelines, what changes in each, how often to see the vet, and how cat years compare to human years.

Three things every cat owner should know

  1. Lilies can be deadly to cats. Even pollen or vase water can cause kidney failure. Call a vet right away after any exposure.
  2. Most adult cats don't need milk. Many are lactose intolerant; fresh water is all they need.
  3. A male cat straining to pee is an emergency. Urinary blockages can become life-threatening quickly.
